Hoffman Estates Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring and concrete coatings company based in Hoffman Estates, IL, with 20+ years of experience preparing and coating concrete. We coat garage floors, basements, kitchens, offices and shop floors across the village and the northwest suburbs, and most of what we know about coatings we learned by looking closely at floors that failed.
That is why our work is weighted toward the parts of a job nobody photographs: the grinding, the crack repair, the moisture test and the conversation about what a coating can and cannot do. A beautiful floor that lifts in its second spring is not a job we want our name on.
Our Approach

Every slab we coat is opened mechanically with a diamond grinder or a shot blaster, and we do not acid etch. Moisture testing is written into the scope as its own line item, on a basement and a garage alike, because a garage slab poured to code may have no vapor retarder under it at all. Before we quote, we read the cracks and the old coating and say plainly when a slab needs repair first. Our proposals name the product, the system build and the finished thickness, so you can check what went down against what was quoted.
We are just as plain about limits. A coating is a film that follows the slab beneath it, so we do not promise it will stop a moving crack. We never sell a floor coating as waterproofing or as radon reduction, which in Illinois is licensed work of its own. Warranty exclusions are read out before a job is sold, moisture first, and curing is scheduled against slab temperature and dew point, which sometimes means telling you an unheated garage should wait for spring.
The paperwork is part of the job too. Illinois issues no state license for flooring or coatings work, so we confirm each village’s registration, bond and insurance rules and ask the permit desk whether a coating needs a permit before we schedule. Every home job gets a written contract and the state’s consumer-rights pamphlet, as the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act requires, and we choose products within the Illinois limits on VOC content. On commercial floors, we schedule around the hours the building has to stay open, including overnight and between events.
What We Do
We install epoxy garage floors, flake epoxy floors, polyaspartic floor coatings, basement floor epoxy, metallic epoxy floors and polished concrete, along with the concrete grinding and concrete floor repair that every good coating depends on. For businesses, we install commercial epoxy flooring, commercial kitchen flooring and ESD flooring for static-sensitive spaces. If you have a floor you are thinking about coating, request a free estimate and we will come look at the slab, test it and give you a written proposal that tells you exactly what we would install and why.
